Wihuri International Prize

The Wihuri International Prize is awarded in recognition of furthering the cultural and economic development of mankind. Traditionally, the prize has been awarded to scientists. Mathematician Professor Rolf Nevanlinna was the first person to be awarded the Wihuri International Prize on October 9th 1958. So far, the Foundation has awarded 20 International Prizes to scientists. The amount of the prize is 150 000 euros.
