Usko Meriläinen

Usko Meriläinen was one of the key composers of post-war Finnish modernism. His music, although changing in style throughout the decades, typically featured a strong passion for rhythmic diversity and a love of instrumental brilliance. Meriläinen received Wihuri Sibelius Prize together with Erik Bergman and Einojuhani Rautavaara.
